Blame for Wuhan virus lies squarely with CCP

Coronavirus crisis is Chinese Communist Party’s fault and it must pay for consequences

KAOHSIUNG (Taiwan News) — The hashtag "China lied, people died" has been trending around the world over the past few days as people come to terms with the colossal impact the Wuhan coronavirus is having on everyone’s lives.

It has sparked a hugely emotional response. The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) left-leaning supporters have immediately played the race card and accused anyone who dares to criticize China of being racist. The CCP has leaped on this too, as its propaganda machine has gone into overdrive to try and deflect blame over the pandemic.

From ludicrous conspiracies about the virus being released in Wuhan by the U.S. military to videos of people dressed in doctor’s uniforms pulling off their masks, there is no level the CCP won’t stoop to in order to convince the world this is not their fault. At the same time, the CCP has begun promoting the fallacy of China’s efforts to tackle the virus as being a great sacrifice on behalf of the world and suggesting we should be grateful.

It has also pulled in the leaders of those countries and organizations that pay homage to Beijing. Various world leaders have stood up to proclaim the virus "no-one’s fault," saying we should focus on finding a solution rather than a cause.

The World Health Organization (WHO) seems more bothered about Wuhan coronavirus "stigmatizing" China than the fact it is killing thousands of people around the world. This is the same WHO that, at the behest of Beijing, insisted travel bans and restrictions were not necessary as coronavirus ripped through China.

This advice played a big role in the virus being allowed to spread internationally. Yet the discredited WHO Secretary-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, mysteriously remains in office and, for some reason, the world continues to listen to his flawed advice.

While WHO has undoubtedly helped coronavirus spread through its kowtowing to Beijing, responsibility for it lies elsewhere. Wuhan coronavirus began in China and it spread because of the culture of corruption that the CCP has engrained into Chinese society. Responsibility for the coronavirus crisis lies with one organization, the CCP.

It was the CCP that silenced doctors and other whistleblowers that first spoke out about Wuhan coronavirus as far back as September 2019 according to some internal CCP documents. It was the CCP that destroyed samples and in doing so stopped medical professionals getting an early understanding of how contagious the virus was, information that could have stopped it in its tracks.

It was the CCP that refused international help in the early stages of the outbreak and refused to let WHO or other international observers into Wuhan and other infected areas. It was the CCP that covered up the outbreak by faking death and infection numbers.

It was the CCP that chose to censor the internet to remove all truthful accounts of life inside coronavirus-ravaged China and continues to do so to prevent the truth from getting out. It is the CCP that continues to spread fake news and propaganda about the coronavirus outbreak making it harder to tackle its spread.

It is the CCP and no-one else, that is responsible for Wuhan coronavirus sweeping the world.

Let’s summarize briefly what they are responsible for. At the time of writing, there are 284,013 cases globally and 11,848 deaths. We know the data coming out of China is fake and other countries are only recording a fraction of the actual number of cases because of testing limitations, so the true numbers are likely to be significantly higher.

Certainly, when the virus begins to take hold in under-developed parts of the world like Africa and Central America, the number of cases and deaths is likely to grow substantially. The CCP is to blame for these deaths.

Wuhan coronavirus is affecting everyone. Workplaces and schools are closed across the globe, economies are in free-fall, and travel is all but impossible. Life as we know it has ground to a halt, the world is on its knees, and no-one can say for sure when it will start up again.

The CCP is to blame for this. Yet still, the propaganda goes on.

China has got the disease under control, we are told in obedient media outlets. China is showing us how to beat back the epidemic.

Last week, international media reported as fact CCP claims to have zero new cases in a day for the first time. At a time when Wuhan coronavirus is rampaging around the globe, for the country of origin, with a population of 1.3 billion people, to make such an outlandish claim is utterly absurd, yet Western media lapped it up.

CCP propaganda is working and in many media outlets, far from being the villain, China is being portrayed as the knight in shining armor that will show the rest of the world how to beat Wuhan coronavirus. We must not accept these lies and we must not fall for this deceit.

This is a CCP virus that ultimately will be defeated by Western medicine.

When this happens, the CCP must face the consequences for the death and disruption it has caused. It should pay the price both financially and politically for the mess it has caused.

This situation must never be allowed to happen again and there is only one sure-fire way to ensure that is the case. The CCP must be dismantled and freedom and transparency finally delivered to the world’s most populous nation.

Gordon Chang: Make China Pay for Coronavirus Pandemic

Breitbart /27.3.2020

China should be held accountable for its conduct leading up to and following the global coronavirus outbreak, said Gordon Chang, Daily Beast columnist and author of The Great U.S.-China Tech War, offering his remarks on Thursday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with host Rebecca Mansour and special guest host John Hayward.

Mansour asked about possible consequences for China following the worldwide impact of the Chinese government’s mendacity and negligence.

“People are furious,” said Mansour, “and if this shutdown [across] the country lasts long, and if the projections are as bad as some of the epidemiologists suggest they will be, we’re going to come out the other end of this extremely angry. We cannot go back to status quo with China. it seems to me that there’s going to be a reckoning, some sort of an international trial.”

Mansour added, “‘We are going to have a lot of people sick and tragically dead because of this, and as you said, China’s handling of it — their gross malfeasance — is unacceptable.”

Chang replied, “My mind is just does not able to comprehend this. I am actually surprised by the inhumanity of what they’ve been doing, and it just incomprehensible. When you look at the modeling of virologists, we could have something like 95 million Americans infected, maybe more, and the death toll from that could very well be in the hundreds of thousands.”

The coronavirus outbreak increases the urgency to economically decouple from China, maintained Chang.

“We probably will follow something close to a trajectory of the countries in Europe, which means we will have perhaps millions or tens of millions of Americans infected, hundreds of thousands of us will not survive this,” Chang stated. “So we have got to understand that however this came out of China — deliberate or accidental — we have got to cut our links with China. We have got to impose costs on China. We’ve got to defend the American Republic because this is an existential crisis for us.”

The World Health Organization’s (WHO) political corruption has been further revealed during the viral pandemic, observed Chang.

“Dr. Tedros, as the director general of the World Health Organization, has actually hindered the world’s response to the coronavirus,” Chang remarked. “So he delayed, at a critical moment, the declaration of a health emergency. He also delayed the declaration of the pandemic. Now both of these things eventually got done, but much later, and as the World Health Organization delayed, people got sick and people died. So this is an example of China actually pressuring the head of the WHO and senior WHO officials into doing things which really resulted in tragedy.”

The U.S. should defund the WHO in the absence of executive reform, Chang recommended.

“We’ve got to remember that Dr. Tedros himself is a die-hard committed socialist,” noted Chang. “During one of his early trips to Beijing during the coronavirus epidemic, he was talking about China’s response and [how] it showed the superiority of the socialist system, thereby him making comments to the detriment of democracies.”

Chang added, “I think that we need to either get rid of all the top leadership of WHO, and it’s a lot of people there who need to leave, or we defund the organization. But this organization certainly has been hindering the world’s response to this epidemic.”

Hayward noted the WHO’s initial opposition to the implementation of travel bans regarding China as a disease-controlling measure.

Chang noted the unified opposition to President Donald Trump’s use of travel bans from many Democrats, U.S. news media outlets, and the Chinese government.

“The one thing that President Trump did on January 31 was to impose the travel restrictions and the quarantine. and President Trump took enormous heat from, not only from Beijing, but from domestic critics, but that was the one thing that bought the United States some time,” Chang stated. “If we didn’t have that, we would be in even worse shape than we are today, because that gave the CDC and others the opportunity to mount a defense.”

Using travel bans “was the most important decision that the federal government made,” concluded Chang, “and President Trump made it early and he made the right call.”

British Govt Furious Over China’s Virus Lies, ‘Reckoning’ Expected Post-Pandemic

Breitbart/29.3.2020

The British government is reportedly furious over the coronavirus misinformation campaign conducted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), leading to calls for the relationship between the two powers to be re-evaluated after the pandemic subsides.

Members of Boris Johnson’s government have disclosed that “anger goes right to the top” of 10 Downing Street — the Prime Minister’s official residence — over the Chinese Communist Party’s mishandling of the coronavirus crisis. The anger stems in large part from a misinformation campaign launched by the regime accusing a United States military delegation in Wuhan of starting the global pandemic.

“There is a disgusting disinformation campaign going on and it is unacceptable. They [the Chinese regime] know they have got this badly wrong and rather than owning it they are spreading lies,” a Downing Street source told the Daily Mail.

Scientific advisors have informed Mr Johnson that it is likely that China is also lying about the number of coronavirus cases in the country, downplaying the figures “by a factor of 15 to 40 times”.

Though any re-evaluation of the relationship with China has been put off until after the pandemic calms down, a senior official told the newspaper: “It is going to be back to the diplomatic drawing board after this. Rethink is an understatement.”

“There has to be a reckoning when this is over,” said another.

At the heart of the re-evaluation will be the status of Boris Johnson’s decision to allow Chinese tech giant Huawei access to Britain’s 5G infrastructure. The Huawei deal placed a stain on the “special relationship” with the United States, whichs long with Australia has warned that the Chinese would gain back door access into the networks of Britain and her allies.

“We can’t stand by and allow the Chinese state’s desire for secrecy to ruin the world’s economy and then come back like nothing has happened. We’re allowing companies like Huawei not just into our economy, but to be a crucial part of our infrastructure,” said a senior Cabinet member.

“This needs to be reviewed urgently, as does any strategically important infrastructure that relies on Chinese supply chains,” the source added.

Former Conservative Party leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith, who has likened the deal with Huawei to doing business with the Nazis during the Second World War, wrote: “for too long, nations have lamely kow-towed to China in the desperate hope of winning trade deals.”

“Once we get clear of this terrible pandemic, it is imperative that we all rethink that relationship and put it on a much more balanced and honest basis,” Sir Iain urged.

There are growing calls within the British government to pressure the Chinese regime to reform its atrocious record on animal rights, which many believe led to the outbreak of the coronavirus in a Wuhan “wet market”.

“We have always known their wildlife markets are a recipe for a pandemic. China needs to close these down immediately. If they don’t, they will rightly become a pariah state,” a senior Minister said.

Number 10 also believes that the communist regime is using the crisis to profiteer and to gain influence with countries through what it calls “predatory offers of help”, such as the donation of medical equipment — which in some cases have turned out to be defective anyway.

“Beijing is masking the greatest health emergency in a century and the cost of this deceit is global,” said Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat.

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has also observed that “China is acting as the charitable godfather, dishing out money, medical equipment and trying to use this crisis to gain global power.”

“When Germany refused to export medical masks to Italy, despite the desperate state they were in, guess who stepped in – the people who caused it – the Chinese,” Mr Farage told Sky News.

“And I wouldn’t want to see the idiots in Brussels replaced by Chinese communism dominating the world even more than it does today,” he cautioned.
